A TIMELESS VISION FOR THE FUTURE

The Tim Cantor Museum Project

For as long as I can remember, I’ve carried a dream 'not so quietly' inside me — a dream so intertwined with my art, my history, and my heart that it feels like an extension of my life itself. It’s a dream of creating a place unlike any other: part museum, part gallery, part immersive experience… a sanctuary where paintings, poetry, music, and film all breathe together as one.

While I’m alive, this space would naturally be both a museum and a gallery. I’ll always be creating, and selling my work is part of how I sustain my art and my life. But the vision is so much bigger than sales. I imagine an experience where you don’t just look at my paintings — you feel them. Where the poems written for each piece whisper in your ear through music and narration; where the films I create surround you; where the walls feel alive with story and meaning.

This isn’t a traditional museum.

This is something uniquely mine.

A place where art reaches deeper, speaks softer, and stays longer.

And I want to build it while I’m still young enough to bring the full weight of my imagination into it.

Why a Museum? Why Now?

Part of this dream grew from something very personal. Over the years, some collectors have told me that when they pass, they want their paintings returned to Amy and me. That trust… that belief in my work lasting beyond a single lifetime… it touches me in a way I can’t describe.

I could never re-sell those pieces. They were loved. They were lived with. They mattered.

Those paintings deserve a future — a home where their stories continue long after both you and I are gone.

This dream is also woven with the story of my great-grandfather. His paintings, once treasured, are now scattered — tucked into garages, lost in forgotten corners. I never met him, but his echoes shaped my path. Imagine, someday, his paintings hanging in my museum alongside mine — his life reaching forward into a future he never saw. I think he’d be proud. Maybe even moved. I know I would be.

And I want better for my own life’s work.

I want better for the art entrusted to me.

I want a place where everything finds its way home.

A Living Legacy

Amy and I don’t have children. Our nieces and nephews are wonderful — happy, stable, financially secure — and because of that, we’ve realized our legacy might be meant for something else. Something larger. Something that gives back long after we’re gone.

This museum is the vision we want to build for the future.

Those who will their paintings back to us will have them displayed with honor — with a plaque that says:

“From the collection of [their name].”

People love that, and I love it because it means their story stays with the art.

It becomes part of the museum’s fabric… part of its soul.

Starting the Journey Now

This entire project will take time. It’s a massive undertaking, and I don’t want to rush it or force it. I want it to grow authentically — with care, with thought, and with your support.

The first real step is this: writing the dream down and opening it to those who believe in what I create.

If you feel moved by this vision — if the idea of helping to build something timeless resonates with you — I am accepting donations dedicated solely to this future museum. I promise to hold these funds with absolute integrity. They will be kept in an account used exclusively for this dream.

At this stage, everything is built on trust.

One day, there will be formal structures, legal frameworks, endowments, and all the details that make a legacy last for generations. But for now, the foundation begins with belief — yours and mine.

Be Part of the Dream

If this vision touches you…

If you’ve ever felt connected to my art…

If you want to help make something beautiful and lasting for the world…

I invite you to join me.

It is my life’s dream to build this museum — a place of beauty, emotion, meaning, and experience. A place that outlives me. A place that gives back. A place filled with the paintings and stories that you’ve woven into your own lives.

Your support becomes part of that story.

Part of the museum.

Part of the legacy.
